Anthony Notaras is a freelance journalist who has written about the legal market since He started his career at Legalease, where he initially worked as a researcher on The Legal series, covering a range of countries and practice areas, including Australia, Russia, Japan, India, Mexico, and Turkey.
During his time at Legalease he was also a senior reporter and news editor at Legal Business magazine. For The Legal , he has researched the US market since the launch of The Legal US, covering a range of practice areas, including dispute resolution, banking and finance, and intellectual property.
For the UK edition, he has covered the Mediators category for several years, as well as some of the main London Bar sections, including commercial litigation, banking and finance, property litigation, international arbitration, and company and partnership. His surname also made him an obvious choice to cover Greece for The Legal EMEA, though he continues to disappoint every Greek lawyer he meets with his complete lack of ability with the language. Ewan has more than a decade's experience writing across various editions of The Legal and was involved at the outset of The Legal US series, and has contributed to every subsequent edition.

His particular specialisms include acquisition finance, asset finance and private equity, areas he has researched and edited for the past four years for the UK guide. Ayisha graduated with a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Nottingham, where she wrote a series of film reviews for the university magazine and blogged for a cross-campus publication. She also interned at a lifestyle magazine in Nepal, publishing several articles on topics ranging from travel to mental health.
In her spare time, Ayisha enjoys learning Korean and watching movies that significantly confuse her. Prior to joining the Legal Deutschland team, she gained research and writing experience as a translator for the Swiss Federal Office of Justice. In her spare time she enjoys climbing, travelling and singing.
She is passionate about environmental and sustainability issues, and speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese, next to her native German. Born in Bulgaria and having studied in both the UK and Austria, Yana has developed an interest in travelling, culture and languages. In her spare time she enjoys photography, reading and sports. Before joining The Legal , Oliver gained experience in the legal sector via an internship at LendLease, where he worked in the commercial team on a major London construction project. Oliver graduated from Durham with a BA in Archaeology and Ancient Civilisations, and completed two archaeological excavations, both at home and abroad.
He is also a keen sportsman, particularly hockey and football. Nicholas developed an interest in the legal sector while working as a paralegal at a West London law firm. His interests include travelling, history, gym, animals, football and cooking. He was called to the Bar In November and has undertaken pro bono employment law work with a London-based charity, as well as worked as an usher at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Sebastian is fluent in German and English, and in his spare time he enjoys playing table tennis as well as exploring London. In addition to being fluent in English and Cantonese, she has also studied Mandarin, French and German. In her spare time, Annabelle enjoys running, photography and creative writing.

After completing his politics degree with the University of Sussex, Joe decided to add a further string to his bow by relocating to the Netherlands, where he spent a year achieving an MA in International Security at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
With that completed, he returned to home shores and a rewarding career in recruitment in Brighton before starting his current position as part of the Client Intelligence Report team. Outside of work, he enjoys following football, boxing and cricket as well as going to music gigs, and knows his way around a fretboard. During her studies she completed her work placement at Trinity Mirror and Coventry TV where she experienced a combination of print and broadcast journalism. She was the Fashion editor of her university paper and editor of a cultural organisation where she coordinated a group of student media producers and journalists to cover various cultural events.
She was also lucky enough to have shadowed a BBC editor for a few days which was a very inspirational experience. Sara enjoys watching psychological thrillers, reading and editing video packages for her YouTube channel.

Her day-to-day tasks involves extracting highly confidential referee information provided by law firms globally which are received in their tens of thousands , assisting firms on how to submit their referees, sending reminder emails about deadlines and submission guidelines, as well as dealing with email queries.
Stephanie has an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office i. Excel, Word and Access, and is impeccable in manually extracting data in just a short period of time. In her spare time, she volunteers to help her local youth group and loves to sing.
