Fan speed in my mac mini is always rpm, when is CPU temperature 40 and when is temperature Is this normal?

But when I installed fan control and the temps rised so did the fan speeds but then they stayed at rpm and didn't go back to the default rpm as it was selected. I have read all the forums and I kind of think that the thermal paste has not been applied correctly or Apple should check on that. And, your Control will no longer be on Auto , it will change to the constant value you chose. Your Mac will be begin cooling if you selected the right temperature. You will be able to hear the fan at higher rates, but it won't be doing any harm to your system. Remember to change your other fan to the same speed, so they're running evenly.
