Another observation: This is a shame because both are very good skincare companies. However, Chilean department stores do carry Helena Rubinstein, which has disappeared from the US, but is still sold in Europe.

Helena Rubinstein is a terrific makeup brand and they make very good foundations, lipsticks, eye shadows. Their skin care is so-so. I use the body wash and lotion on my little boy and it smells amazing. Then, last December we were taking the BuqueBus ferry from Montevideo to Buenos Aires and my husband wanted to check out the colognes so I went.

I was surprised that the skin care was notably cheaper then here, so I took advantage and stocked up. Same goes for body lotion, shampoos, creams, scrubs, nail polish, etc. Although a woman who isn't too picky about these things should find enough to keep going, I am a bit pickier about what I put on my skin and haven't found anything to my liking and the relatively high prices aren't any incentive to compromise, either. I brought shampoos, body lotions perfume and sunscreen from the U.

I know I'm getting slightly off topic, but scented items here smell really different everything from perfume, to detergent, soap, candles, scented room diffusers, etc. I guess it's just not what I'm used to. I wish I would have brought a few more candles or soaps with "familiar scents" with me.

Thanks for any hint: Anyone knows where I could find transparent face powder?
